SmartOnesPepperoniPizza 767959 Taste Test Tuesday: Smart Ones Artisan Creations Pepperoni Stone Fired Crust Pizza

Rarely does frozen pizza taste as good as freshly made pizza from a restaurant or home. But as frozen pizzas go, this one isn’t too bad at all. It doesn’t look as good as the picture on the package, but this convenient pizza was enjoyable to eat and the serving size was very satisfying paired with some fruit or vegetables.

One of these pizzas (which is a serving) contributes 390 calories, 8 grams fat, 3 grams saturated fat, and 730 milligrams sodium, which is pretty good compared to a personal pepperoni pizza at Pizza Hut with 610 calories, 27 grams fat, 10 grams saturated fat, and 1420 milligrams sodium. They both have about the same amount of protein (20 grams for Smart Ones and 25 grams for Pizza Hut) and fiber (4 grams for Smart Ones and 3 grams for Pizza Hut).

Usually I want to add more cheese to these lighter frozen pizza options but this one seemed to have enough on its own. All in all this is a tasty and convenient option for people who are tempted by the high fat and high calorie personal pizzas sold at pizza restaurants and who want to have a lighter alternative handy at home or work.

First 5 ingredients: wheat flour, water, tomato puree, reduced fat reduced sodium mozzarella cheese, pepperoni

1 Pizza = 390 calories, 8 g fat, 3 g saturated fat, 1.5 g polyunsaturated fat, 2 g monounsaturated fat, 20 mg cholesterol, 4 g fiber, 730 mg sodium. 15% Daily Value for vitamin A and C and 25% Daily value for calcium and 8% for Iron.
