Many fans of Michael Jackson will readily admit that his last 15 years or so were a far cry off from his glory days, and that he was never the same ever since falling from grace.
I don’t blame the guy. He was under all kinds of pressure that I couldn’t even fathom, and dealing with his success must have been a huge struggle.
Jackson made his best music in his teens and his 20s, and his songs are still some of the most popular in the world. Regardless of his final years, he’s left a legacy behind that very few people in music ever have.
The world was secretly hoping for a return to his old form, but the thought of that was clearly a mirage. Jackson was never the same, and his untimely death marked the official end of an era in music, though it probably took place years before. Jackson’s Is This It proves that theory wrong to some extent.
I was expecting a sappy movie that played into his issues, with a lot of it covered up by the movie makers and everything else. I was wrong though, and many who’ve seen the movie will probably tell you the very same thing.
You might be surprised to know that Jackson was phenomenal in this rehearsal, and the movie is truly a treat that any music lover should see. Jackson hasn’t been seen like this in a long time, and the sight of him on stage is one that brings out the Michael Jackson of old.
Amazingly, he still had the dance moves that he did in his prime, and his voice even sounded good too. He said that he wasn’t going to go all out with his voice until the concert, but it really makes you appreciate where he was at during his final days.
This was an exceptional movie, as real as it gets. No Hollywood effects, simply real footage of the King of Pop during his final performance. I’d highly recommend this movie to just about anyone.
